I seem to have been really busy this week. At this time of the year I get a bit 'home loving'and enjoy wearing an apron, I have been baking scones, biscuits and cakes, also eating them too which doesnt help my figure.
Yesterday I decided to make some marmalade as we had finished eating last years batch, so last evening I cooked the sliced oranges for a few hours and this morning finished it off by adding the sugar and boiling until setting point, from 3lb of oranges and 6lb of sugar the yield was 11 jars, I dont think thats bad at all.
Lemons are now ready here, so over the weekend I may make some lemon marmalade or even lemon curd , although Im not too sure about the lemon curd, because I think you have to eat it fairly soon after you have made it, and I must try to lose weight for Christmas. I saw this recipe with a triple layer cake with lemon curd between the layers mmmmmmmmmmmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
